The police asked to see her insurance, then “nothing can do” to save her
Zina Giorgio was arrested by two police officers who were selling patrols. It will end in the tragedy
“It was not possible to do something,” to save the life of a 20 -year -old woman who died after suddenly accelerated from the routine police station, and an investigation heard.
Zina Giorgio, “Latif, Love and Generous”, was transferred from Bergo to the hospital after the police pursued on December 3, 2023.
Despite the best medical staff’s efforts, the 20 -year -old died at the Manchester Royal Disablishment later that day.
On Wednesday (April 9), after a three -day investigation in South Manchester Coroners, the jury decided that the cause of death was a road collision.
The court heard how Zina was roaming in one series of BMW with a “close boyfriend” tanker, Yasmine, who sat in the passenger seat, and Jake Busquette, who sat in a back seat.
Both were called as witnesses during the investigation, however, they were unable to give “limited information” only because of the “big injuries” that they suffered in the accident.
Bodycam and Dashcam shots were played on December 3 to the field and showed GMP officers Nathan Louie and PC Stephan Bielizna carrying a routine traffic after the BMW was discovered on Washway Road, Sale.
The search on their system showed that the car is not secure and recorded outside the Greater Manchester.
The investigation also listened to the fact that the car was seen by APR cameras in Longsight, Wythenshawe and Northenden earlier that day.
After noting that she wandered in the noticeable police car, “Zina immediately complied” and during a road side conversation with the police, she gave her mother’s name and “the date of birth that was not clear that it had no.”
During the station, Zina showed the officers a screenshot of temporary insurance coverage that was the details of her mother.
The court heard how one of the officers, PC Lowe, was “convinced” of insurance, but not “convinced that he gave him the correct details.”
Then the officers asked Zina to enter their car to conduct a fingerprint examination, and at that stage it was suddenly “screaming”.
One officer can hear “What do you do?” Before starting the chase.
The investigation was informed how the car was bought at a police auction in Doncaster a week ago, after Zina persuaded her mother, Catherine Hayden, to buy her.
Catherine told the court that she said that she had given her daughter’s money to cover the insurance in her name. But Zina “did not believe in the car.”
Three temporary covers have been placed on BMW by the mother of Xena and her sister in the past. However, “None of the policies have provided insurance coverage of the BMW leadership.”
I also heard how Zina was “in contact with her friends to ask them to take the insurance on her behalf” and that her failure to cover insurance “may be the reason for her departure.”
The BMW police followed many residential roads. During the chase, Zina ran the red traffic bite.
Then she lost control of bending on the Marlend road, and it was converted to a parked car.
The chase lasted just less than two minutes, and the court heard how it is likely to lead it at the time of the accident at speeds exceeding “77 miles per hour.”
One of the officers was “surprised by the extent of the damage” and that he was unable to open the car by the driver.
A huge response to the emergency service and also “helped a member of the audience, a retired shock surgeon,” with the help of a short time. “
Zena was transferred to the hospital and despite the best efforts made by the medical staff, her life support machine was turned off and died on December 3, 2023 at the Royal Manchester clinic.
“It was not possible to do anything at an early stage to save the life of Zina,” the court heard.
Through tears, her mother Catherine described her daughter as “issued, good, funny, nice, loving, very generous”, and a person “helps people even though she was struggling.”
She added that Zina “could be fiery” and “frank”.
After thanked the jury for “work, close attention and care” in hearing the investigation, the assistant investigating judge addressed Adrian Faro the Zina family and their friends and said: “I am sorry because we had to meet in these circumstances.”
After his condolences, he added: “This was a very sad investigation, most of the investigations are sad, but this investigation was sad for me to hear him.
“I hope that during the investigation, you had at least a comfort to hear all the information surrounding the death of Zina.”
The IPC investigation continued in the aftermath of the accident that although the presence of the police had affected the method of leading Mrs. Georgio, there was no indication that any police officer had been acted in a way that justifies disciplinary procedures or committed a criminal crime.
