A helicopter crashed into the Hudson River with multiple death
A helicopter crashed to see the city’s landmarks in the Hudson River on Thursday, killing all the six people on board, the latest in a series of accidents in recent months that rocked confidence in the safety of American aviation.
“At this time, all the six victims were removed from the water. Unfortunately, all the six deceased victims were uttered,” the mayor of New York City Eric Adams told a news conference.
City officials said that passengers, including three children, were from Spain. The pilot was also killed.
One of the Associated Press -Presse eyewitnesses he saw the helicopter collapsing in the air, while another said that the plane was going on in an irreplaceable way during its fall.
The helicopter path, which grew up in the Helebit bird near Wall Street, appears before the group was south to the statue of freedom and then north to the George Washington Bridge before rotating.
“We have been destroyed,” said Michael Roth, CEO of New York Helicopter, who was running the trip. “We are tragicly regretted what happened, and we are working with the investigators.”
The Federal Aviation Administration said it could not confirm the number of people on board, but said it would investigate what happened to the Bell 206 helicopter alongside the National Transport Safety Council. NTSB said in a statement that he was collecting information.
Earlier on Thursday, a passenger plane with at least six members of Congress was cut by another commercial plane on Earth at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport near Washington, DC. These incidents vibrate confidence in the safety of the American aviation system after a deadly municipal collision between an American military helicopter and a regional passenger plane near Reagan Airport in January.
There were many helicopters around New York City. A helicopter in the eastern river criticized a flight to see the city’s landmarks in 2018, killing five people and raising awareness of the safety issue with seats restrictions.
“It is clear that it is a tragic situation.” “But that will lead to a greater conversation about us. Do we do everything necessary from the safety point of view, given how intensity of this region is a population.”
