Brown & Brown, the former vice president, receives unjust fishing agents, violating agreements
The Florida -based Brown & Brown, a Florida, one of the country’s largest insurance mediation companies, filed a federal lawsuit against the former Vice President, accused of creating competitors and fishermen.
The lawsuit in the central region of the Federal Courts in Florida Westin Swinson, based in Texas, is conspiring with Nathan Gilbert Insurance Agency and the old insurance group to attract at least dozens of dozens of Braun & Brown customers. All in violation of the unlawful Swingon employment agreements, as the complaint claims.
The defendants have not yet made a answer to Brown and Brown’s complaint. It is the latest armed lawsuit in an industry that has witnessed an increase in these types of legal procedures in recent years. Meanwhile, employee agreements were successfully challenged without the Poach in court in some states. In 2023, the New York Prosecutor’s Office forced Property Ownership and Ownership Insurance companies to pay fines of $ 13.75 million for “worker control” agreements.
In the case of Brown & Brown, the problem started in 2021, when Swenson worked at Hillco West Texas Insurance, as he agreed that HillCo customers did not request if the company left. Suritize, though, Swinson Swinson Capital, who said Brown and Brown, said, “It was established for the purpose of competition with Hilco while still working so.”
The Brown & Brown team, which was publicly traded, and with the Dayton Beach, and with offices all over the country, got Hillco in 2024. Swenson went to B&B as Vice President of Sales, and signed a new employment agreement.
After a few months, he left Swenson B & B and started working with Legacy Insurance Group, which has offices in Florida and Texas. Nathan Gilbert is running his own agency in Iowa Fols, Texas, a branch of ancient insurance, according to the agency website.
“Since the start of work with the old defendants under the guise of Swenson … Swenson’s request and before work that included at least thirty -seven customers’ insurance policies that he had previously served on behalf of Brown & Brown, using confidential information, to benefit from legal defenders.”
The lawsuit argues that the defendants used the capital of Swinson “as a smoke of their business relationship.” The complaint includes the image of the Google Maps Street view of the alleged title for Swenson Capital, which appears to be a vacant part of Nocona, Texas.
The lawsuit claims that the alleged overfishing and the intervention of the definition cost the Braun & Brown amounts of money and revealed commercial secrets. The lawsuit requires at least $ 50,000 of the damage and a court order requests Swinson to comply with his employment agreements.
Swinson can not be reached to comment on Friday morning.
